The WHIP makes an appearance

July 25th 2009, trying to bypass a 2 mile long line up of girls in band T's and high neon color socks was how some of us from the gym spent our Saturday afternoon. At the annual Beat Rocks the Block Coach Fitz had a great set up beside Morel Kelly to showcase his T-shirts, hats and boxers (thats fighters everyone, not underwear). Actually before I continue I do have to send a huge mention to Morel. Without him most of us would have been extremly wet! Actually what I want to say is thank you for the tremendous support you offer the gym and Coach Fitz. Morel you truly are a great guy and from what I saw Saturday a hard hitter. Yes Morel got out there and gave it a go with his daughter on the heavey bag.

So with the help of many of the gyms members, pamphlets were passed out and a great awareness was made about the club. When I told people that the gym was located in the old Tannery building there were alot of shocked faces... I personally don't know why but I kind of just went with it. the day itself was full of great surprises, besides the wonderfully colorful outfits and really loud music we had alot of people try out the speed bag and heavey bag. Kids hit that heavey bag so hard I swear you could hear them grunting, women came over and chatted with Coach Fitz about his fitness classes, truly the day was people filled.

I do have to mention for everyone that was there, next time we should bring in some snacks... I am thinking Oreos?

See you at the next event!
