You know it was like a page out of the Rocky movie..

 

I was at the Grand Re:Opening of The Whip Boxing & Fitness this evening and was impressed by how successful this boxing academy is !Mayor Carl Zehr was there to cut the red ribbon , which was held by our own World Boxing Champion Fitz "The Whip" Vanderpool and Nicole Struber (Ms Oktoberfest 2007).

 

 

Mayor Carl Zehr spoke of the great job Fitz and The Whip Boxing Academy did in helping to mentor and empower our young people , like 12year old Paige Mason who recently won the Gold medal at The Ray McGibbons boxing tournament. There was a steady flow of people that passed through the academy as many of us watched the the exhibition & demonstrations put on by the students.

 

 

MMA & Affliction Champions Mark Hominick , Chris Hordecki & Sam Stout were accomodating in posing for pictures and signing autographs for the crowd at this event.On the whole I must  say I was really impressed with the facility and how well the event was!
